I just wanted to post a little update about my research into Serjeant Major James Watson. I have been able to find his military information (I don’t have copies yet) and am putting together more of a picture of how the family came to be in Jedburgh.
I plan to write a couple of articles, which I hope will be published in the BordersFHS newsletter this upcoming year. So be on the lookout for that.
Unfortunately, I still have not been able to confirm who are the parents of Serjeant Major James Watson, but hopefully, that brick wall will be chipped at in the new year.
